Terms & Conditions
Last updated 14 August 2026.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms apply when you buy a BBBRadar device from bbbradar.co.uk and when you use the device and the data service behind it. By placing an order or using a BBBRadar, you agree to these terms. If you have any questions, email support@bbbradar.co.uk.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
2. Ordering and payment
Orders are placed through the product page and paid securely via PayPal (by card or PayPal balance). Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include the device; UK delivery is charged separately at checkout. Your order is accepted when we dispatch your device. If we can't fulfil an order — for example due to a stock or pricing error — we'll let you know and refund you in full.
After purchase you'll receive a unique order number by email, which activates your device during setup. Keep it safe — you'll need it if you contact support.
3. Delivery
We currently ship within the UK only. Orders are dispatched within 3 working days and sent by Royal Mail Tracked 48. Delivery timescales after dispatch are estimates and depend on Royal Mail. If your order hasn't arrived within a reasonable time, contact us and we'll chase it up.
4. Changing your mind — 14-day returns
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your device, without giving a reason. To cancel, email support@bbbradar.co.uk with your order number within that period, then return the device to us within 14 days of telling us. You're responsible for the cost of returning it and for taking reasonable care of it while it's in your possession.
We'll refund the price you paid, including standard outbound delivery, within 14 days of receiving the device back. We may reduce the refund if the device has been handled beyond what's needed to inspect it.
5. Faulty devices
If your device arrives faulty or develops a fault within the timescales set by the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you're entitled to the remedies that Act provides — a repair, replacement or refund, depending on the circumstances. Email support@bbbradar.co.uk with your order number and a description of the fault and we'll sort it out.
This doesn't cover faults caused by accident, misuse, unauthorised modification (including flashing other firmware), liquid damage, or use with an unsuitable power supply.
6. The live data service
BBBRadar displays aircraft data sourced from third-party community-fed ADS-B networks (currently adsb.lol and Airplanes.Live) via our servers. This data is provided on an "as is" basis:
- We do not control the third-party data and cannot guarantee its accuracy, completeness or timeliness. Aircraft may be missing, delayed or shown in slightly different positions to reality.
- The service depends on your internet connection, our servers and third-party networks, any of which may occasionally be unavailable. We aim to keep the service running but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
- If a data source changes or closes, we may switch to an alternative source via a software update.
There is no subscription or ongoing charge for the service.
7. Not a safety or navigation device
BBBRadar is a hobby and entertainment product only. It must never be used for navigation, flight planning, air traffic control, collision avoidance, aviation safety or any other purpose where accurate or real-time aircraft information matters. Data shown may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate, and some aircraft do not broadcast their position at all. You must not rely on the device for any safety-related decision.
8. Using the device safely — your responsibility
You use the device at your own risk and are responsible for using it sensibly. In particular:
- Use it indoors, in a dry environment, away from heat sources and liquids.
- Power it only from a standard USB supply (5V — a phone charger is ideal). Do not use damaged cables or adapters.
- It is not a toy. Keep it away from young children — it contains small parts and electronics.
- Do not open, modify or attempt to repair the device, or load firmware other than official BBBRadar updates. Doing so is at your own risk and voids the warranty in clause 5 (your statutory rights are unaffected).
- If the device becomes damaged, unusually hot, or behaves abnormally, unplug it and contact us.
9. Software and updates
The device updates itself automatically over WiFi. Updates may add, change or remove features, and may be necessary for the device to keep working with the data service. The software on the device is licensed to you for personal use with your BBBRadar, not sold.
10. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law.
Otherwise, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill, and our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid for your device. We are not liable for:
- loss or damage arising from reliance on the aircraft data displayed;
- loss or damage caused by misuse of the device, unsuitable power supplies, or unauthorised modification;
- unavailability of the data service or third-party data sources;
- business losses — the device is supplied for private, domestic use only.
11. Your information
The name, delivery address and email you provide at checkout are collected and held by PayPal. We use them only momentarily to email you your order number and setup guide, and to generate a short reference (e.g. your initials and town) so support can find your order later — we do not store your name, email address or delivery address ourselves. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail. We don't sell your information. The device sends your chosen location and order number to our servers to fetch nearby aircraft data — that's what makes it work.
12. General
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page at the time of your order is the one that applies to it. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute can be brought in the courts of England and Wales (or your local UK courts if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland).
